How to send mails as from another account?

Steps to be followed for forwarding mails from account a@gmail.com as b@gmail.com

1. Login to account a@gmail.com. Goto  settings => accounts tab => “send email as “ section.

2. Add b@gmail.com account here, confirm that this is your mail address by following given instructions.

3. Now you can start sending mails from a@gmail.com as b@gmail.com.

How to search specific type of messge?

There are various types of messages included in our Gmail inbox. That are as follows

• Starred:  important messages as per consideration
• Unread: messages that are unread
• Read: messages that are read
• Chat : messages that are in conversation format

Whenever you want to search for specific type of message from your inbox, search with keyword “is:starred”, “is:unread”, “is:read” and “is:chat” for searching starred, unread, read and chat messages respectively.

For example, following search will give you all messages that are unread from your inbox.

Syntax:  in:inbox   is:unread

ANDROID APPS SNEAKING TOO MUCH DATA

            It’s of course grossly improper & uncommon as it sounds. Security firms found that more than 100,000 android applications in the market are ‘fishy’ or ‘questionable’ because what they do in background, tasks such as accessing contact lists, location tracking, and hunting email-messages. This all sneaking is far beyond the purpose of the application.

         Apps inform you about accessing your contact list, email details & other information then asks you to give all permissions before downloading the app, but how many consumers from us read all those warnings??? We just keep on clicking to get the app.

          

         Most aggressive apps purporting to be affiliated with popular brands such as Facebook. These functions do not make apps malicious but they make us doubtful about developer’s intentions.

         

          This type of third- party interference is both good and bad for consumers. Point is that the consumers should be aware of what permission they are granting when they download the new application. Mobile application privacy is even becoming an issue of law enforcement

In California, the only state to require privacy policies for mobile applications as well as websites. Attorny General Kamala Harris has warned companies such as United Continental Holdings Inc., Delta Air Lines Inc. and Open Table Inc. that they are in violation of state law for failing to conspicuously post privacy policies for their mobile applications. The companies have 30 days to make the policies readily accessible or face fines of as much as $2,500 for each download of applications that violate the law, which is known as the California Online Privacy Protection Act.

        This app is all FREE you named ‘emotion sense’.

Smartphones are becoming inseparable part of all our lives. Only our Smartphone knows to whom we are talking, how much time we spend in communication, in what environment we are etc. This is the base of the app ‘emotion sense’.

System is designed by psychologists; this app will combine wide information gathered from various sensors of your Smartphone which will report your mood.

User have to first mark their feelings on-screen matrix named ‘emotional grid’. Based on their response, phone will conduct a brief survey to clarify their emotional state.

Both this information, i.e. from sensors & from emotional grid will be integrated together to know when the user is most happy and when he is most stressed.

Dr. neha rathia, who is a research associate at the university’s computer lab; said that “any Smartphone now comes with numerous sensors that can tell you about aspects of your life, like how active you are or how sociable you have been in past 24 hours. All this can be used for therapeutic purpose.”

At different times of the day, the app will send pop ups on phone as little as twice a day & assess user’s mood using ‘emotion grid’ followed by survey users choice will simply reflect how positive & active they feel.
